I'm a lot of things: an easy-laugher, a wife and mom, a coffee-drinker, a radio lover, frequent dancer, and romanticizer of life. When I plan sessions, I dream about what I'll shoot, and when I'm editing photos, I forget to eat. I have a cat, a kid, a husband, and too many books checked out from the library. Someone told me once to "take my foot off the gas" and it's given me plenty of fuel for the journey. I grew up in Oklahoma and got to Texas as fast as I could. Now let's go take some pictures.

Picking a photographer can feel like trying to find a soulmate--you're looking for someone who sees your life like you do, and then takes that one little step further to record the details that will be hard to remember in a year's time. Finding someone who knows when to step in and steer the ship to bring out your best selves, and someone who can just as quickly step into the background to let the moments that make your life so special shine all on their own. You should click with your photographer. It should feel as natural as getting coffee with a friend--just maybe a little easier to schedule.
